Nature Walk | Flower Photography

In this video I go for a nature walk to be really mindful of the nature and wildlife that is on your doorstep. As a landscape photographer, I am always looking for wonderful photographs in exotic locations but often fail to observe or appreciate what is around me. In this nature walk I show hundreds of insects, plants and grasses that you wouldn’t necessarily notice unless you really slow down and stop to see what is there.

Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy this video and I hope it inspires you to go out for a walk to look for nature or the next time you are walking to work, just take a bit of time to appreciate the wealth of wildlife.

I have tried to be as accurate as I can with the names of the things I spotted but as there is so much variety out there, some of the names may not be completely accurate but I did my best so you get an idea of what it is.

I haven’t been able to do any landscape photography recently but wanted to get out with my camera and ended up having just as much fun. I really hope you enjoy this video and that it inspires you to stop and appreciate the small things.

Great episode, John! Not many things better than a relaxing nature walk observing tiny wildlife 😀 It was interesting to see how many species you found and how many are either similar or the same to what we see here, most of them are unique to where you are.

Lovely video John, although next time you introduce your videos with comments about your back passage, please warn me as I sprayed coffee all over my iPad as I’d just taken a mouthful. It ‘cracked’ (sorry, couldn’t resist) me up. Hope you and yours are keeping well. Atb

Thanks so much for the video! Enjoyed looking at some of the flowers and insects we don’t have in NC-USA where I live.

Great video John with a really powerful message at the heart of it – look for beauty in the small things right under our noses. Top work 👌
